In two documented cases, the misidentified children were young Black boys who were left "scared and distressed" by the encounter.

All those kind of things still aren't addressed."
The technology is advancing faster than oversight, regulation, or legal frameworks can keep pace.
The Path We're On
Lindsey Chiswick from the Met acknowledges the concerns but says police must "harness" AI opportunities with limited resources. She insists cameras aren't deployed at protests and that expansion will be careful.
But the trajectory is clear. As Chiswick admits: "I think we're going to see an increase in the use of technology, data and AI increasing over the coming years, and on a personal level, I think it should, because that's how we're going to become better at our jobs."
